Privacy Policy — last updated: August 2026

Your trades never leave your browser. No accounts, no wallets connected, no calculation history on any server.

The details

What stays local

CoinMetra's P&L engine, DCA averaging, break-even math, and tax estimates are client-side JavaScript. Every price, quantity, lot, and fee you enter is processed in your browser's memory and never transmitted to us.

The one outbound call

If you click "Fetch live price," your browser queries CoinGecko's public API for the selected coin's spot price. The request contains only the coin's ticker — none of your trades, lots, or tax inputs. It fails silently offline; the tool works fully without it.

What we collect

We don't require accounts and don't collect personal information directly. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data — IP address, request time, user agent — for security and operations. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send.

Cookies and advertising

We may display ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other sites. Opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings. Third-party networks have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices.

Analytics

We may use aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to understand feature usage. These statistics never include any trade, price, or tax value you enter.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Questions can go to support@coinmetra.com.
