Privacy Policy — last updated: October 2026
Last updated: October 2026
This is the privacy notice for coinmetra.com, operated by CoinMetra ("we", "us"). It covers the information we deal with and the options open to you. Briefly: the buy and sell prices, amounts and fee percentages you enter are computed locally and never leave your machine.
The tool this policy covers
The tool this page covers is CoinMetra, a crypto profit and DCA calculator. Put simply, it calculates profit and loss after trading fees, the average cost of a dollar-cost-averaging plan, ROI and an estimated capital gains tax across nine countries, and the way it does so is this: it averages each buy by the amount invested rather than a simple price mean, deducts the fee from every trade, and applies the selected country's capital gains rules to the realised gain. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.
In day-to-day use the tool works only from the buy and sell prices, amounts and fee percentages you enter, and it is usually opened for things like checking the real return after exchange fees. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.
The inputs you provide
On coinmetra.com the computation never leaves the browser. CoinMetra reads your input in the page itself, produces the result there, and sends nothing over the network — which is also why the tool goes on working if you disconnect after loading it.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and object to how it is used. Given how little CoinMetra collects, the answer will usually be short, but the right stands.
How this policy changes
This policy is reviewed when the site changes. Any material revision is shown by the "last updated" date at the top of the page.
Technical data gathered automatically
Standard server logs are generated when your browser requests a page. They cover technical details like your IP address, browser, referring URL and timestamps, and are used only to keep the site running and secure. None of it is linked to the input you give the tool.
How cookies and adverts work here
We use one first-party cookie for the consent choice and nothing more. Any other cookies come from advertising partners outside our control; they can be blocked or deleted in your browser, and doing so costs the tool nothing, because the calculation is independent of them.
Analytics
Usage statistics, when collected, are anonymous and aggregated. They tell us which pages are useful; they do not identify you and they never include your input to the calculator.
Financial figures you enter
Amounts, interest rates, balances and income figures are treated as ordinary input. They are used only to produce the answer on screen; they are never logged, transmitted or shared, and closing the tab discards them.
How long data is kept, and how it is protected
Retention is close to a non-question here, because almost nothing personal is retained. What you enter lives in the tab; the site itself is served over TLS and maintained as needed.
Children and the site
CoinMetra provides general-purpose tools and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
