Disclaimer — read before you trade

The tool this page covers is CoinMetra, a crypto profit and DCA calculator. Put simply, it calculates profit and loss after trading fees, the average cost of a dollar-cost-averaging plan, ROI and an estimated capital gains tax across nine countries, and the way it does so is this: it averages each buy by the amount invested rather than a simple price mean, deducts the fee from every trade, and applies the selected country's capital gains rules to the realised gain. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.
In day-to-day use the tool works only from the buy and sell prices, amounts and fee percentages you enter, and it is usually opened for things like checking the real return after exchange fees. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.
The nature of this site
Everything on coinmetra.com is provided for general information and education. Results are estimates produced from what you enter, not measurements, and not professional advice. CoinMetra is built to be useful, not authoritative.
Reading a financial projection
Unless a page says otherwise, the money tools assume rates stay fixed, contributions never change, and fees and inflation are set aside. None of that holds exactly in the real world. A CoinMetra figure is an illustration rather than a forecast and should never be the sole basis for a financial decision.
Advertising and independence
The Site is funded by advertising. No advertiser has any say over a result, and no ad should be read as an endorsement.
Provided without warranty
For CoinMetra specifically, the operative assumption is that your input fits the case the tool is built for. It averages each buy by the amount invested rather than a simple price mean, deducts the fee from every trade, and applies the selected country's capital gains rules to the realised gain. Outside that — and wherever rounding, unit handling or browser behavior intrudes — the Site offers no warranty of any kind; we take care over the method, but the result is what it is.
External links
A link to an outside page is there for reference. That content is not under our control and we are not responsible for its accuracy.
Checking before you act
You are responsible for checking that a result suits your situation before acting on it. If something looks wrong, tell us through the contact page — we would rather fix it than be right.
